Episode #358: Prehistoric Pillars of Civilization

Kyle delivers his latest presentation on Gobekli Tepe and the wider "Tas Tepeler Civilization" topic. How far back do these ancient megaliths really go? The evidence we have cannot actually tell us, because all of the dating is based on the material found around the megaliths. And is there a connection between the people who inhabited these t-pillar sites and the area of Giza in Egypt?

Episode #333: UK and the Petrie Museum

We traveled to the UK to participate in a project to scan artifacts from the Petrie Museum, including the famous Core #7 and many vases. In this episode we discuss the project in general; eventually we will be able to discuss it in detail and the massive amounts of data that were captured will be released to the public.

Thank you all so much for watching and supporting the show! We intend to do much more like this in the future, this is exactly the kind of thing we feel that helps better understand the mysterious past, and ancient human achievements.

Episode #282: More Listener Communications

We're about to leave for Turkey and we have so many great emails from listeners to catch up on before we go, we decided to tackle some of them in a live-to-youtube broadcast. Once again this was a lot of fun, thanks to everyone in the chat and all the superchat donations.

This will be the last of the regular episodes until we get back from Turkey. Meanwhile, check our youtube channel for livestreams, the discord for pics, vids and boots-on-the-ground updates, and maybe even the RSS feed for audio uploads, if we can manage it.

Also, as was mentioned during the show, Russ/Brothers of the Serpent now has an "affiliate link" for purchasing a livestream ticket for the Cosmic Summit event. Use the link below to get a ticket and also support us!  Thanks!

Episode #185: UnchartedX Swapcast - Sacsayhuaman

For our third installment in the series of swapcasts we are doing with Ben from UnchartedX, we are joined by Matt from the excellent Ancient Architects YouTube channel. The four of us take a look at Ben's raw footage of the amazing and mysterious megalithic site of Sacsayhuaman in Peru, as well as the remains of beautiful megalithic, polygonal, "cyclopean" masonry in the city of Cuzco below.
Unlike Egypt, there is far less information available about these sites, what their true origins are, who built them, and why.

We ponder these questions, as well as the questions of how these sites were constructed, as they seem almost unbelievable in the details of the masonry....and yet there they stand. Someone did it. Who they were and how they did it are still mysteries.

The video for this episode will be released on all of our YouTube channels, so stay tuned!

Episode #160: Megalithic America with Glenn Kreisberg

We talk with Glenn Kreisberg, author of Spirits in Stone, about the many megaliths, dolmens, standing stones, and stone effigy sites in the northeastern U.S.

Although there are undoubtedly many colonial artifacts like stone piles and stone border walls throughout the northeastern United States, Glenn describes how some of these sites display celestial and internal alignments that make them unlikely to be the constructions of farmers clearing land and marking borders. He also gives several ways of trying to determine if one is looking at a "colonial" construction, or something much more ancient and interesting.

We also briefly discuss some of his work on Malta, and the seemingly anomalous acoustical properties of the Hypogeum.

You can find Glenn's book at the link above, and follow his work at his website, overlookmountain.org.

Episode #084: Pyramids are Hard

This week we had a very special guest(our dad) on the show to regale us with stories about moving and lifting very heavy loads in massive construction projects, the associated headaches and difficulties and, sometimes, outright disasters that can occur when trying to lift object A and place it on point B. His decades of experience allows him to explain very well how complex such operations are, and how much engineering and technology is required to complete them.
We compare some of the modern world's most powerful lifting machinery to what would have been required to complete some of the ancient megalithic structures still standing today, and even do some basic math to get the specs for a crane for building the Great Pyramid.

Spoiler alert: it would have to have been way bigger than anything we have today.

Episode #082: The Rabbithole Rabbithole

In this episode we try to give an overview of the topic of ancient mysteries and why we explore alternative views of ancient history. We try to cover as much ground as possible with as broad a brush as possible. For long term listeners or people who are already versed in this subject, this show gives a good outline of our current thinking. For those who are new to the topic, we hope this will initiate you into this most fascinating of subjects.

Episode 081: Malta

We take some time in the beginning of this episode to give a shout out and a farewell to a friend of ours who passed away recently. He was a great friend and a SnakeBro. Rest in peace, brother.

After a spaceweathernews update and some other interesting and funny headlines and stories, we move to our main topic for this show, which is the island of Malta and its mysterious and incredibly ancient megalithic structures and subsurface hypogea, the anomalous skeletons and skulls found there, the "Venus Statues" found in some of the above ground structures, and the fact that no one really knows who made these places, why they seemed to appear suddenly out of nowhere, and vanish just as quickly.

Episode #080: Impossiblocks

GMA of LateNite fame joins us in the Tangent Cube for the 2019 inaugural episode, bringing his engineering expertise to the subject of impossiblocks, and also recounts a snake expedition he took into the mountainous wilderness of New York State to look for an ancient serpent effigy aligned to the constellation of Draco.
