In reference to the obelisk being wrought with electrum, (1:58:--) meaning worked with, you need to go back to how words were used at the time it was translated, archaic phrasing by scholars. I have encountered "wrought with" in reference to textiles as wrought all over with gold threads, meaning that gold threads were put in the fabric as highlights throughout the piece. So similarly I think the electrum was put into the stone to highlight the carved figures.
